Walking football in Burley!

You thought one walking football team in Bramley was enough for us run and coach at YBY …

On Friday we headed down to the Cardigan Centre to run a walking football session in partnership with OWLS.

If you don’t know what the benefits of walking football are check out our blog post here which explores the benefits.

Due to a combination of the hall size, the number of walking footballers and the heatwave, we didn’t actually run the session at the Cardigan centre – we went to Burley Park!

It was a great turnout of walking footballers with a range of ages, abilities, and genders! After the session we all headed to the Left Bank for a drink in the sun and to soak up some more vitamin C.

If you were unfortunate enough to not attend the walking football taster session don’t worry – we are currently planning to run a block of 4 sessions. So keep checking our social media accounts!

Or, maybe you didn’t attend because walking football is not for you – why not join our Headingley walking group who are meeting on Thursday 31st March, outside Sainsburys on Otley road at 10AM

If you have any questions about any of our other activities in the Inner Northwest email kyra@yourbackyard.org.uk.
