Inspired by the incredible skill of our Lionesses displayed by their triumph at Wembley, we started our own West Leeds Women’s Walking football team
Last night they played their first match at Goals Leeds. One or 2 players were a bit rusty after a 30-year break since schooldays, but overall a great start against the Holbeck Moor ladies walking football team, a side who have been playing together for quite some time, and were very tough opponents.
Still, a 4-1 scoreline was no disgrace and there is still the second leg to come.
The main thing was everyone enjoyed it and is up for more matches, so any ladies walking football teams out there who fancy a game give us a shout!
