Your Back Yard supported The University of Leeds in their ‘Family Archive’ project. The aim of exploring past generations stories through artifacts like photographs, heirlooms, scrapbooks and recipes to keep their narratives alive for generations to come.
We connected the researchers at the university with local communities, particularly in Seacroft. It was particularly interesting to see how the shopping habits of Seacroft have changed with the changing landscape, with independent shops and green spaces replaced by… a big Tesco!
