I had a great time down at the Social Enterprise Yorkshire and the Humber Breakfast Meeting this morning! Thanks to an informative talk from Hannah Roden from Leeds City Council I now have a better understanding of open data, and of Data Mill North specifically. I’m confident that Your Back Yard will now be able to harness the power of open data to improve our funding bids, make our projects more effectively targeted at groups and communities in need, and to identify needs that we may have otherwise overlooked.

It was also great to meet and speak to other people from social enterprises in the Yorkshire and Humber area, and I was pleased to see that people making a new start in the sector were there to find out more about social enterprises and how they function.
