Your Back Yard helped the Cardigan Centre in Leeds to develop a business plan, as well as research new ways they could bid for and fund resources. The Cardigan Centre is a local community-based charity which aims to improve the education, welfare, and well-being of local residents, as well as create sustainable futures. The Centre is located in between Hyde Park and Burley in Leeds, and has a great amount of space and potential thanks to its large building and fantastic resources. But we wanted to make it even better! We wanted to help utilise the building more, and provide a greater range of activities and opportunities to the local community.
